RECREATIONAL GROUPS

A number of recreational groups meet at Poulton Methodist Church throughout each week. For more information on each of the groups, please look at the details of each below.

The BADMINTON CLUB meets on Monday evenings at 7.45 pm.

We do not play other teams, preferring instead just to play and have a social evening with like-minded people.

All members of the congregation are welcome to join the Club.

The FELWALKING GROUP usually meet at the Church on the first and third Saturdays of the month for walks on the high fells or rambles.

Details are set out in the weekly Church notices.

Own transport is not essential, but waterproofs and suitable footwear are a must!

The FLOWER TEAM are a small group of ladies who love flowers and take pride in arranging them in Church Friday or Saturday, ready for the Sunday services.

Members of the Church family give a donation each week to cover the cost of the flowers – sometimes with a special memory or celebration in mind.

After Sunday services the flowers are distributed to friends who are ill or housebound or have something to celebrate.

There is a rota of volunteers who help with this work.  More helpers with the distribution are always welcome.

The GARDENING GROUP meets in the garden every Monday morning.

The LADIES RECREATIONAL GROUP perform a programme of gentle exercises to music suitable for a variety of age groups

They meet on Monday morning in the Upper Room from 10.30 am to approximately 11.30 am, during school term-time only.

A charge of £1.00 is made per session, which includes coffee.
