Music is very much part of life at Poulton Methodist Church from traditional hymns and choral pieces in our services to concerts that are held for the community of Poulton.
We have a Church Choir, which rehearses most Friday afternoons from 2.30. Sunday’s hymns and introits form the first part of our rehearsal, after which we learn new songs and anthems.
In the weeks leading up to Easter, Harvest time and Christmas, we work on special music.
We are a four-part Choir, working together in fellowship and friendship, lifting our voices in the Lord’s praise.
The Norah Edgar Trust organises concerts, which cover the whole music spectrum.
There are regular Friday afternoon concerts organised by Fylde Arts in the Sanctuary and Hall, and occasional concerts on Saturday evenings.
We have a fine organ in our Church, and we are always looking for experienced organists who may wish to play.
Poulton People’s Choir rehearses each Wednesday from 7.30pm – 9.00pm
and performs concerts from time to time in the Sanctuary.
